Villa Del Mare "Villa of
the Sea" has been built in 1955 and fully renovated in 2004.
During the renovating process I have been helped by a tour operator,
dear friend of mine. He suggested me exacly how to make the new
rooms making the villa very very functional and after 5 years i have to
say thanks!
The villa is in fact the only one in Taormina with all bedrooms watching the sea with balcony and
ensuite bathrooms:), there are tables in the balcony to seat and
watching the bay.
Villa Del Mare takes this name from the very particular sea views.
These views have been appreciated a lot by my guests. They are
surrounded by the trees of the bay below and watching the sea
overlooking the Calabria coast is an exeprience that nobody forgot...
I mean, it is not a normal and standard sea view but something more...
In case you wish a luxury villa, Villa De Mare is not the place for you
and i kindly ask you not to waste time to send me enquiries.
Althought inside the villa is very well done, the real "Luxury of my
villa" are the views, the sensation you feel sitting in the balcony and
watching the most beautiful bay of Sicily, the bay of Mazzarò. The
location (the bay of Mazzarò allows you to have the sea 50 meters far
and the centre 5 minutes far thanks to the cable car) is a
prerogative of my villa because usually renting a villa far from the
main town stress you because all the time you need the car and to drive
a car in Taormina is really crazy:), the sea breze coming from the
balconies (all bedrooms have ensuite bathrroms with balcony on the sea -
therefore you will never sleep in my villa without watching the sea:).
Villa Del Mare also "cuts" the bay of Mazzarò exactly in the middle and
that's way the sea views are marvellous and uncomparable.
In the past, most of my guests have been wonderful but of course i also
met idiots complaining for a kettle for example while standing 12 hours
a day admiring the views and getting "stunned":).
As i always say to my guests coming for the first time, please avoid to
stress me in asking things like a dishwasher or washing machine because
the only place to stand clothes are the balconies and if you put the
clothes on the balcony the villa looks orrible.
Kitchens of the villa are fully equipped but they are very simple
because my guests do not want to waste time in cooking as the bay has
restaurants, bistros, bars... everything..... You can prepare a
full meal at the villa but this is something that noone of my guests
ever did:) Also, the lidos of the bay let you to stay all the day
at the sea without needing to go back to the villa for lunch as it is
much easier and better to have a fast meal there, a pizza or a salad 10
meters from the sea in the beautiful roof terraces.
Around 6 in the afternoon, the sea viewed from the balcony and the
terrace takes a very particular colour, a strange cobalt mixed to blue
which is very very beautiful.
The villa has below a beautiful garden with stairs which are anyhow very
beautiful and "gentle". It is so pleasant to walk the garden and
therefore i kindly ask you not to enquiry if you have disability
problems or if you are over 65.

The whole Villa has 3 double bedrooms with balcony overlooking the sea
and ensuite bathrooms, 4 bathrroms (there is the shower not the bath
tub), living room with kitchen and the terrace (only for guests of
Damiano apartment in case the villa is rented separately).
